The all new 2009 Seat Ibiza will be available with the new 1.6 liter common-rail TDI engine, replacing the old 1.9 TDI 90 bhp.
The new engine produce 90 hp and 230 Nm of torque between 1500-2500 rpm, with an ultra-low consumption and emissions of 4,2 liters/100 km (near 57 mpg) with 109 g CO2/km. This 1.6 common-rail turbo diesel engine is from Volkswagen and will be shared with the all new Volkswagen Polo 1.6 TDI.
Will be available in Europe this summer in both Seat Ibiza 5-door and SC (3-door).
Seat Ibiza is also available with diesel engines 1.4 TDI 80 hp and 1.9 TDI 105 hp.
