General Motors today presented an updated Viability Plan with its new “four-brand” strategy focused in Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC, and killing Pontiac by the end of 2010.
The worst news for the historic american brand now its announced and confirmed.
Also, the revised plan move up the resolution of Saab, Hummer and Saturn to the end of 2009…
GM plans to end up with just 34 nameplates for 2010, a reduction of some 30% compared to 48 for 2008 and will cut an additional 8000 factory jobs in the United States, kill the Pontiac brand and shed 2600 ealers by 2010 under a revised business plan developed with the Obama administration complicity.
